drat people and their great ideas.
i'm trying to remain calm. after all, all these software people are trying to _help_ us, right? come up with neat new things that make our lives easier? just wish they would do a better job of testing them before they stick us with them....
see, i have two gmail accounts. one for my personal stuff, one for my HOA board of directors stuff (which i got only because one of the other directors was swamping my personal one with emails). i always check both of them, and (being a dutiful sort) i check the hoa one first. then i sign out and log into the other account.
except today, when i signed out, they already had the hoa account in as the only account to log in on. not in a little box, as usual, that you can edit - but something i couldn't change. now, they _did_ have an option to log into another account, but when i clicked on that, it put me right back with the same account name hard-entered.
so i can't get to my personal account, the one with all the interesting stuff, the one i use all the time.
i sent a message to the help center, of course, and had the presence of mind to use a completely seperate address.... to which they have just responded, with the standard list of things to do, which do not in any way relate to the problem i am actually having. so i have emailed them again, but it will take at least a day for a "real" person to get back to me.... does anyone ever actually test this stuff?
